Mystic is known for its sense of sea-faring history. Nestled along the banks of the Mystic River, this picture perfect New England town is brimming with nostalgia and the perfect getaway destination for history lovers.
Discover the renowned Mystic Seaport Museum, immerse yourself in tradition at the Olde Mistick Village, and get up close to marine species at Mystic Aquarium.
If nature or a sea breeze beckons, why not set sail on a scenic cruise or head off for a day exploring one of Connecticut’s glorious state parks or nature reserves?
You will pay a 50% deposit on confirmation of your booking, and this deposit will secure your booking and dates.
The balance is due 45 days before arrival or immediately when booking within 45 days of arrival.
Important: Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG – a globally recognized trust and safety company that allows hosts and guests to transact confidently.
Please note that your booking confirmation will include your SUPERHOG booking validation link. The validation process includes ID verification. Kindly verify asap- the process is easy and should only take a few minutes.
If you are reserving the whole property, we use SUPERHOG to collect either a refundable (pending no damages) $500 deposit (minus a non-refundable $15 admin fee) or a $35 non-refundable damage waiver. Please choose which one is best for you during your validation process.
Since we are a small family-run business offering one-of-a-kind accommodations, when guests cancel a whole house reservation, this can negatively affect our schedule.
Our standard cancellation policy for whole house accommodations has a 100% refund (minus a 5% cancelation fee) 45 days before arrival, 50% 30 days before arrival, and no refunds less than 30 days before arrival. If we can get a new reservation in place, we will offer a cancelation refund equal to the amount we could fill with the new reservation~ this is our goal, and we’ll do our best to fill those dates.
When possible and it works best for guests and us, we can reschedule~ this option is assessed case-by-case.
We always think it’s a super idea for guests to purchase travel insurance for their peace of mind.
Check-in is from 4 PM on, and check-out is by 11 AM.
During our busy season, we often have back-to-back reservations, so we’ll most likely need the full five hours to prep between guests, as there is much to be done- it’s all in the details~ you’ll see! 🙂
We can sometimes be flexible on arrival and departure times depending on the time of year and the day of the week. Please reach out with any questions. We kindly appreciate your understanding.
We offer the fastest WiFi available in each home~ Mbps to 500+ Mbps.
Well-behaved dogs are considered for a $57.50 pet fee per pet/stay (CT tax included). Hosting dogs is a huge responsibility for us, and we trust that you will only bring the best-behaved salty dogs to our homes. Guests must read the Pet Guidelines and confirm they agree to them before booking. Please note: We do not allow dogs in our private Guest Rooms except in our Sailor Room in the Carriage House. We cannot accommodate cats for severe allergy reasons.
We welcome children to our whole house accommodations and provide a high chair, pack-n-play, and baby bath. We also have children’s books and some play items. Please note: Our properties are multi-level antique homes with stairwells. We have many items of interest, so your little ones must be watched closely during your stay.
At our Old Mystic locations, we can accommodate special events with approval since three of our properties are clustered and adjacent to one another. A 25% event fee applies to your reservation total. Please contact me if you are interested.
Absolutely not~ please leave that up to us! We love linens and enjoy having beautiful beds made for you and we’ll set out plenty of towels for your stay, so please let us treat you!
We supply dish detergent, dishwasher tablets, washing machine detergent, hand wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and paper towels. Our goal is to have enough for your entire stay 🙂
