A fall favorite is B.F. Clyde’s Cider Mill, the sole steam-powered cider mill in the United States, brings crowds queuing for a taste of its delicious cider and freshly baked donuts.

Savor the freshest seafood at one of our waterfront restaurants or farm-to-table cuisine in historic settings that exude the charm of bygone days.

From Mystic, you can take a coastal day trip Newport (1 hr 4 mins), or perhaps a day at the beach in Watch Hill, Westerly Rhode Island (26 mins). Head inland for a round of golf, or a day hiking the trails of one of New England’s glorious state parks.

Getting Here

Mystic is conveniently located in the heart of New England, making it easily accessible for travelers from near and far.

By Car

Enjoy the freedom of the open road as you drive into Mystic. Located at the junction of Interstate 95 and Route 1, it's a convenient journey from major cities like Boston, Providence, and New York City.

By Train

For a relaxed journey, Amtrak offers service to Mystic from major cities along the Northeast Corridor. The Mystic Amtrak station is centrally located, providing easy access to the town's attractions.

By Air

The nearest airports to Mystic are T.F. Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island, and Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. From there, you can rent a car or use other transportation options to reach us in Mystic.

When to visit Mystic

Gorgeous balmy summer days and time on the water, make Mystic, Connecticut a popular summer destination. In fact, in 2023 Mystic was voted Nº 4 Best Summer Destination by USA Today.

Its popularity means that during the months of July through to August, our little town can get busy, so if you prefer a less crowded getaway, book an out-of-season stay with us. You’ll find plenty of things to do, whatever the season and weather.

Spring (March - May)

When Spring arrives in Mystic, expect mild temperatures and blooming flowers making the spring season an ideal time to explore Mystic's outdoor attractions. Pack layers for the cooler evenings (though we have plenty of blankets to keep you cozy outside by the fire pit on those cool nights.)

Summer (June - August)

Warm temperatures and sunny skies characterize summer. It's the perfect time to enjoy boat rides, Kayaking/SUPs, strolls along the waterfront, local beaches, and outdoor dining.

Fall (September - November)

Mystic in the fall is a glorious time of year as it comes alive with vibrant fall foliage, creating a picturesque backdrop for your visit. The crisp air is perfect for discovering nature trails, exploring village shops, and savoring seasonal treats.

Winter (December - February)
